Life & Hobbies

Dr. Knape was born and raised in Indiana. During his childhood, he spent most of his time playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors. Most of his summers were spent riding horses out on the trails at a local state park. During his time in undergrad at Indiana University, he attended every basketball game he could in Assembly Hall. Upon graduating, he moved to Indianapolis to pursue his education in dentistry. When he isn’t at the office or enjoying the outdoors, Dr. Knape enjoys watching movies and spending time with his adorable golden retriever puppy, Noodle.

My Mission

As your provider, Dr. Makam is dedicated to providing excellent and compassionate care to improve the lives of her patients in a comfortable and relaxing environment. She loves all aspects of general dentistry and takes a special interest in cosmetic procedures such as Invisalign, veneers, implants, and implant-supported dentures. She is devoted to life-long learning and loves to continuously attend courses to learn about the latest technological innovations and advancements in dentistry. Dr. Makam is excited to meet her new patients with the goal to build a long-lasting relationship for years to come.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Pooja Makam was born in England and moved to the U.S. with her family at the age of 6. Since then, they have settled down in Raleigh, North Carolina and are happy to call North Carolina their home.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Makam loves spending time with her family, daughter, and her rescue dog, Pearl. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, trying new foods and breweries, spending time with friends, group fitness, and anything outdoors.
